Abuse in any form is unacceptable and we are committed to keeping everyone safe, especially children and young people, and adults at risk.
Quakers recognise ‘that of God’ in everyone and so each of us deserves to be respected, valued, and receive appropriate care without harm, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
We recognise abuse can include, but is not limited to, physical, sexual, emotional, and spiritual abuse, coercive control, modern slavery and neglect. We know that Quakers may be open to risks because we foster a culture of welcome and trust for all in our community.
Reporting a concern
In an emergency - If you have information about a safeguarding situation where a child or adult is in immediate danger, or requires immediate attention, call the police on 999.
If there is no immediate danger, but you have other concerns please contact our Central England Quakers Safeguarding Lead - Sarah Barker on 07849 826417 during office hours ( in an emergency phone 999).
